Astrophysics
My name is Mary Geer Dethero and I am from Florence, Alabama. I am pursuing a major in astrophysics with a minor in applied mathematics. My goal is to achieve a PhD in astronomy and become a research scientist. When I’m not studying, I enjoy running, photography, and playing guitar.

The Eckardt program made my transition into Lehigh an easy one. I quickly became friends with the other scholars in my cohort, and they have remained some of my favorite people at Lehigh. Being part of the Eckardt program has helped support and inspire my research, which will develop into my senior thesis.
