Pre-dental - Biology
Hello, my name is Jafer Hasani, I am a first generation college student from New Jersey. I am a Senior on the pre-dental track, majoring in Biology with a minor in Entrepreneurship. On campus, I currently serve as president of the Pre-Dental Society and the Muslim Student Association. My journey at Lehigh has been defined by the out of the classroom experiences I’ve had, including programs such as LaunchBayC, Lehigh Silicon Valley, the Israel-Palestine Interreligious Program, and the Iacocca International Internship Program where I worked as a dental assistant in Cape Town, South Africa for 10 weeks.

The Eckardt Scholars Program has granted me with the opportunity to easily combine my passions in the natural sciences and entrepreneurship. Beyond the accessibility of taking on a heavy course load in both fields, Eckardt has provided me with the privilege of applying my acquired knowledge to the real world. I’ve spent the last two years taking what I’ve I learned from my entrepreneurship courses and pre-dental experiences to build my startup, Team Patients. We provide patients with free comprehensive screenings, selective treatments, travel opportunities, and compensation for their time while concurrently helping the upcoming generation of dentists and dental hygienists by pairing them with ideal patients for their dental board examinations. Beyond the academic and professional benefits of the Eckardt Program, I am extremely grateful for the amazing group of individuals that I have met in each cohort over the past four years.
