Astrophysics

Emily is a senior Eckardt Scholar pursuing a B.S. in Astrophysics. This past summer she completed her Private Pilot Certificate for Single Engine Land Airplanes. She is Vice President of a 501 c3 not for profit astronomy club, North West Jersey Amateur Astronomers, in her hometown. At Lehigh she is the Society of Physics Students President and a competitive road cyclist for Lehigh Cycling Club.

Eckardt allowed me to take classes in the College of Engineering that dovetailed with my aviation interests that given my major in CAS would not have otherwise been possible. The individuals in the 2019 cohort have also been the ones I’ve made the most long-lasting friendships with while at Lehigh.
