My name is August Eurich, and I'm a senior Economics major. Coming from Wisconsin, a lot of people ask me why I chose Lehigh, and to this day I struggle to answer that question. I came here because I wanted to set off on my own adventure, and I knew the Lehigh campus was a lively, welcoming place for all people. In my time at Lehigh, I've learned so much about economics, computer science, and how the new economy works wonders for hard-working entrepreneurs. I've become close friends with my peers on the Lehigh Ultimate Frisbee Team, and I couldn't be happier with my decision to attend Lehigh.

Being an Eckardt Scholar at Lehigh is also one of the main reasons why I chose to attend. Like a lot of high school graduates, I didn't know what I wanted to study in college, or what job I wanted to go for after college. The Eckardt Scholars' Program gave me the freedom I needed to explore multiple disciplines, eventually settling on my Economics major in the spring of my sophomore year. I'm so grateful for being chosen as an Eckardt Scholar and I think my range of studies at Lehigh will help me decades down the road.
