My name is Annabelle Sharenow and I am an Economics major with a double-minor in Marketing and Graphic Design. I have been interested in all things “art” since I was a little girl. Whether it be photography, fashion design, studio art, or graphic design, creating has always been my main passion. For me, design is about making connections and I look for inspiration in the world around me. My view of design is also informed by my studies in marketing and economics; good design is not only aesthetic but also incorporates business considerations. It is the confluence of all these ideas that excites me, and I hope to combine them in whatever I do.

The Eckardt Scholars Program has given me the opportunity to explore and understand how to best combine my interests for design and business in a unique and exciting way, particularly when faced with the challenge of developing a capstone project. I feel so grateful I got to be a part of such a talented group of students that constantly challenged and inspired me throughout my Lehigh experience. I particularly appreciated the sense of community the program fosters and am thankful to have had such a caring advisor who pushed me to discover new ways to explore what most inspired me.
